Everyone has an imagination,and it is there for a positive purpose. Just like our heart is there to support us. It may not work as well as it should at times,but its only purpose is positive. The imagination employs all aspects of the personality – memory,emotions,the subconscious,perception,reason,and the senses - to stimulate them,to give us what we need. It enables us to adapt to new situations,picture the future for ourselves,dream up – well,anything! It makes life interesting and keeps us alive.
At Chrysalis,we help you and your organization to liberate your creative imaginations. Discovery
Experiencing something for the first time is discovery,and meaningful discovery is change. It doesn’t matter if you have seen it a hundred times before,this time it is different,and you have changed. But to experience like this you need to identify,and find a rapport. We wake up your creative imagination through identification.
The Passionate Voyage
Having a passion for something gets you going. It makes you active. Imagine being in the dark,with everything in chaos,and trusting your imagination because you have to. Then EUREKA!!! You see it,and your world has changed forever. You have transferred what’s in your imagination into action. How does your organization get going imaginatively? How do you direct your collective imagination to get positive results? We work with you to put your organization on the passionate voyage.
Making it Happen
It only takes one creative individual to see it,but it takes everyone’s imagination to make it work. How do we transform the creative idea into a practical,positive,and creative reality? Our imaginations have to work together,then truly,almost anything is possible! We give you the tools to get there.
This series of workshops has been developed over the past eight years as a collaborative project between Lin Grist of Chrysalis and Ron East,Director of the School of Physical Theatre.
Ron East has over 30 years experience in the professional theatre,as an actor,director,playwright and teacher. He has been the director of an independent professional theatre school for the past 25 years and in addition he has taught in universities and professional schools in Canada,the UK,France,Germany and Greece. Not only does he bring his professional theatre experience,his research into the pedagogy of the learning process (physical,emotional,and intellectual intelligences) as well as his business entrepreneurship to this collaboration,but he is also presently completing his PhD in Neuroscience and Creative Practice at the University of Guelph.
